A link page for musicians: releases and dates

Musicians have a problem few others share: their work is scattered across six platforms that do not talk to each other, and their audience does not all use the same one. Sending people to Spotify when they are on Apple Music loses the listen.

One page, every platform

The basic idea: one link per streaming service, and the visitor picks theirs. Automatic previews pull the artwork for Spotify and SoundCloud, which makes a release recognisable at a glance rather than by the link's title.

Push the current release

The event block shows a date, a title and a button — for a release, a show, a presale. It sits at the top of the page and comes off once the date has passed.

And if you would rather keep everything among your links, a single link can carry a large image and a different style, so this month's release does not drown in the list.

Build a list, seriously

This is the least glamorous and most useful advice. Streaming platforms do not give you your listeners' contact details. An email list does — and it survives an algorithm change or a network shutting down.

The collection block is free with no subscriber cap. Addresses export as CSV into whichever sending tool you prefer, and are not resold.

Style matters more here than elsewhere

For a musician, a generic page works against the music. The studio gives you typography that fits your world, a considered background, blocks in shapes you choose. All of it free, custom fonts and colours included.
